Here is some sort of A little peek,
into my crazy and adventurous life.
OK SO, first off….this is probably WAY too much information.
However, I look at things with many different “hats”,
and I’m still working on how to show that the best way.
As I’m curious of EVERYthing….I create constantly.
And since I can do anything…I do a bit of everything.
My first realization of the power of waves, were the ones I had learned
during my first instrument at 10 years of age …the violin.
Although I didn’t “go anywhere” with it, It did start a deeper understanding
of music that has followed me throughout my life.
I held many different positions, from playing in a small AM radio station as a teenager for a few months, to being a club DJ across the US.
for awhile, I was doing a bit of multi-track studio editing at this crazy hidden little gem called the Jam box in Seattle for while, all building my skills in audio realm in form or another.
Which was where I was SURE I would end up, as a career….well… call them lessons…
and then a few tries in different directions… a friend REALLY hooked me up.
In the early part of 2001, I was thrown head first
into the touring entertainment/production/theater world.
Starting with Tony Hawks “Boom Boom Huck Jam” tour with Offspring, and
floating dream-like through one tour after another, I
had found a new home in the entertainment industry.
The first few seasons were filled with some of the greatest bands
to tour the world. I was soon working for some of these legendary
bands such as; Aerosmith, Boston, Rolling Stones, Chicago,
Guns N Roses, Metallica and Motley Crue.
And that was just the first year! Needless to say, the list is pretty long now
after 20+ years in the business.
I moved up the ranks quickly, bouncing around the
various stagehand positions and venues. Learning lights,
video, audio, scenic, back-line, spot-light, and even a bit
of wardrobe.
Learning to Focus…
I landed my first tour job in 2003,
as the Lighting Crew Director with for an amazing
equestrian tour, it was in a large big-top and called Cavalia.
This was where my lighting business idea and career change,
had it’s first major impact on me. In Oakland, CA I had found a toy, with some lights
in it. They were just the replacement lights the tour needed for safely guiding
the horses around all the dangerous obstacles in the dark.
(The technology I found in that little toy was called
electroluminescence. Later, this little light became the first
product of my future lighting business called Blue Phoenix Lites.)
After my time with the Cavalia tour was over, I returned to Seattle
to continue my education in Entertainment Rigging and Rope Access,
later getting certified with SPRAT .
(Society of Professional Rope Access Technicians.)
Life on a Rope…
Since I had started rigging in 2003 for Metallica’s ” Summer Sanitarium”,
I’ve continued to worked with venues such as
the Key Arena, Tacoma Dome, The Gorge Amphitheater,
The Moore Theater and many of the other venues and rooftops
in the Great Pacific Northwest.
Now in 2024 I’m letting the art world know I’m here.
Having done a few murals now,
(be sure to check out my latest, couple of
murals “Fine & Dandy” & “Sea-Dragon“).
I will be using the magic I learned through the entertainment
industry, to bring you some magic of my own.

Big thanks to Aphex Twin for letting me use the song.
Just for a little idea, of the list of shows I’ve been a part of…
below is a link to a fun collection of things I’ve kept
from many of the artists I’ve had the pleasure
of working for, throughout the years.
Passes & Memorabilia
As I float through this crazy existence called life,
I am becoming much more aware
of the powers that run this world. As earth grinds, sharpens and shapes me,
I have found the need to show
the illusions of life through my art. After so many years in entertainment,
I have found that nothing, is what it seems.Learning to play with the heart rates and emotions
of thousands of brains with a flip of the switch or the push of a button,
has opened up my eyes to the easy ways we are manipulated often.I believe we are not here to work, for a life time.
Look through the fog and find your happy place…
… then stay there.Don’t forget, none of us make it out alive,
so enjoy every moment you can.
